Patchwork in Inches

Master inches and start making beautiful patchwork quickly and easily.

Why did I create this course?

One of the comments I hear most from people who work with sewing is that "doing patchwork is somewhat difficult, complicated or time-consuming".

I want to show you that this doesn't have to be true!

Stop patchworking in centimeters and see how much easier it is to create in inches.

I learned to do patchwork in centimeters and I also thought it took a long time to make a quilt, but after I learned in inches, everything became easier, faster and more enjoyable for me and so I never did it in centimeters again, only in inches!

And there's no point taking a project in inches and converting it to centimeters, that's the biggest mistake and it won't work!

Either do everything in inches or in centimeters! Have you also noticed that in centimeters, sometimes the blocks don't match and then you have to adapt?

In inches, none of this exists. With inches, the cuts are much more precise and, consequently, the seams match. In inches, we can design blocks in the size we want, which means it is more versatile. Cutting techniques in inches make it easier to quickly and easily assemble an entire quilt.

Learn how to do patchwork in inches and I guarantee that you will no longer do it in centimeters! In this course you will learn and master inches completely and be able to do any patchwork and quilt project (including imported projects, even if you don't know English), quickly and well done!

In addition, you will develop a potholder all in inches and receive a design for two extra star blocks and all the support material. All this without needing large investments and with the certainty that a new world of patchwork and opportunities will open up for you!

And why inches and not centimeters?

This is something we need to talk about.

My first quilt was made following the step-by-step instructions in a magazine. I was delighted, but I realized that I needed to improve my technique, so I signed up for an in-person course in my city. I started with a small piece, a potholder, and then a nine-block quilt, both made in centimeters. I was amazed and happy, but my joy was short-lived. I realized that in addition to being complicated, it took a long time to finish.

Doing it in inches, besides being easy, helps you with precision and speed when making quilts.

And to be honest, most patchwork and quilting courses in Brazil are designed and planned in centimeters. Nothing against it, that's how I started, but it takes a long time and makes execution more difficult.

With inches, the world of quilting opened up to me. It was a transformation for my quilts and projects and I never wanted to do it in centimeters again.

I always say that

The most important thing when it comes to learning a skill for personal use or for extra income is to learn it simply, quickly and easily.

IT WOULD BE COOLER TO LEARN:

1. Make quilts or patchwork pieces quickly;

2. Make a variety of existing blocks in the desired sizes;

3. Be up to date with new techniques and not depend on this technique being transformed into centimeters in order to develop;

4. Execute imported projects;

5. Make quilt pieces like world-renowned and recognized quilters do.

Most people here in Brazil who work with this only make small pieces. DO YOU KNOW WHY? Because they THINK it takes too long to make quilts. And do you know why they think it takes too long to make a quilt?

Because inches allow you to use specific techniques in the agility of executing patchwork blocks and centimeters would be complicated.

In other words, by mastering INCHES + SMALL TECHNIQUES while making the quilt you will finish it faster and more effectively than if you were doing it in centimeters!

And it is exactly with this goal that I will help in my Basic Patchwork Course in Inches!

What will you learn in the course?

What my students say about the course

  • Roseli Gil

    Londrina | PR

    "I took the Inches Course with Tânia Mogari and it was a very good experience. I recommend it to anyone who wants to enhance their pieces (finishing/precision). It's something simple, it just needs to be incorporated into the cutting of the fabrics. Once an inch, always an inch!"

  • Corina Podavin

    Itanhaem | SP

    "When I started patchwork, I was shown that they were made in centimeters and inches. But since I started in 2014, there were only teachers who taught in centimeters. Recently, I discovered teacher Tânia Mogari on Instagram - Quilter. She teaches in inches, with unparalleled attention, detailed explanations, and a calmness that leaves students wanting to learn more. The workbooks have very detailed projects, with beautiful drawings, with her own creations. I feel lucky to have met teacher Tânia. Thank you."

  • Marcia Arcoverde

    "At first I thought I didn't need it. But like everything you do, I'm interested. I bought it and I'm loving it. I had never heard of mothers, brides... I was delighted. I haven't gotten to the point yet, but I'm already loving the information."

The time has come to invest in yourself.

The investment value will not be a problem quilter!

About Me

Hello Quilter, I'm Tânia Mogari.

I am a Longarm Quilter and Quilt Project Designer. I was born in Londrina, PR and have been living with my husband and 2 boys ever since. I have a degree in Business Administration and have been an English teacher for many years. I love crafts and nature like my mother.

It was about 12 years ago that I discovered the world of quilting and I haven't stopped since. I created my brand Tania Mogari Quilter in 2017 and I can only be thankful for the wonderful results in my personal and professional life. I took courses with renowned international quilters such as: Linda Taylor, Judy Madsen, Nathalia Bonner in quilting and Karen Kay Buckley in machine applique, Jenny from MissouriQuiltCo. in patchwork, Elizabeth Chappel in Quilt Pattern Design, Shannon Brinkley Studio and others.

I want to share how rewarding quilting can be. Join me for The Art of Quilt Course. I can't wait to meet you and work together!

Yes, you can. My suggestion is that you take the course using a computer, laptop or even a tablet, since the viewing screen is larger than a cell phone. This makes it much easier to make the "The Four Loves" quilt. But you can do it just by accessing it on your cell phone.
