Tooth Fairy Pillow
Tooth Fairy Pillow
Tooth Fairy Pillow Project created by Tania Mogari Quilter.
The Tooth Fairy Pillow Project was created out of necessity and practicality. I have two boys, one is 11 years old and the other is 7 years old. At the age of 5 to 8, depending on the child, their baby teeth start to fall out! And one of the traditions here at home is that when a tooth falls out, the child puts it under the pillow before going to sleep and, during the night, the tooth fairy comes to collect the tooth and leaves treats in its place. That's how I learned!
But it was getting a little difficult to get the tooth out from under the pillow while my son was sleeping, so that's how I created a pillow to be used in those moments. I used the 3D pinwheel block! The pinwheel unit already refers to a lot of children's themes (pinwheels), I think it's really beautiful for baby quilts and quilts for children and in 3D it's perfect for leaving the tooth and treats, right?
The project has step-by-step instructions with illustrations, as well as the materials needed to make the pillow. The pillow measures 12" x 12". It's not big, but it's perfect for this purpose!
Easy to execute and very fast project. Perfect for beginners and those with knowledge of inches.
